The artist says: “This is an ongoing illustration project where I’m exploring Greek, Nordic and Celtic Mythology as well as some well known children’s stories, nursery rhymes and fables. This is an illustration style that I’ve been developing over the past ten years. Each painting here is a result of dozens 0f preparatory drawings and paintings. They are incredibly difficult to realise as the economy of each line and the relationship of tone and colour are amplified as much as possible.”
